A festive day this always was
But every year my mind goes a buzz
The Rebbe recovered in 1978
It was an awesome miracle, lets praise Hashem, He is Great!
I was born in 1985
I saw the Rebbe for 8 years, while He was physically alive
I’m so very grateful for that miracle back then
Hashem gave me the opportunity to see my Rebbe, yet I miss him, I want to see him again.
What did this day do for my son
He is only 20 months old, he’s a little one.
Maybe he has a father who saw Him
Oh my Hashem, that’s only His reflection.
At times I question my own connection
I was really small, this is an honest reflection
Yet maybe it is the volumes of talks that those years that He gave
Those are accessible to all, they show us how to behave
We are very sad that the Rebbe did not recover in 1994
He left over very sad children-a whole new dor
Rebbe show us guidance and light
Give us the courage, give us the might!
